What is CLAMLOX®?
CLAMLOX® CLX-TY-001 is the first product from CARLUS®: a vehicle-specific physical gear shift lock designed to obstruct normal access to the gear-selector operating area while a compatible vehicle is parked.
Which vehicles currently support CLAMLOX®?
Current verified applications begin with selected Toyota RAV4 2019–2025 and Toyota Corolla Cross 2026 onward configurations. A fifth-generation Honda CR-V version is in development. Market, trim and center-console details must be verified before purchase.
Is CLAMLOX® a universal gear shift lock?
No. CLAMLOX® is vehicle-specific and should not be used on a vehicle that has not been verified as compatible. The product family is designed to expand across different car brands.
Does CLAMLOX® require drilling, wiring or permanent installation?
No drilling, electrical wiring or permanent replacement of original vehicle components is required for normal use.
How do I use the gear shift lock?
Park safely, engage the parking brake and place the vehicle in Park. Install CLAMLOX® over the verified gear-shift knob and turn the dedicated key to secure it. Installation takes 2 seconds. Unlock and remove it before driving.
Will CLAMLOX® scratch the center console?
Interior contact areas are considered in the design, but the lock and console must be kept clean. Grit, sand or trapped debris can mark interior surfaces. Always follow the user guide.
Does CLAMLOX® cover the shift lock release?
Coverage depends on the verified vehicle application and center-console configuration. Request application-specific confirmation before purchase rather than assuming coverage from the model name alone.
Can CLAMLOX® guarantee that my car will not be stolen?
No. No physical lock, alarm, immobilizer or tracker can guarantee theft prevention. CLAMLOX® is a theft-deterrent device intended to add a visible mechanical obstacle and increase the time and effort required to access normal gear-shift operation.
What should I do if a key is lost?
Contact CARLUS® support with the product and ownership information available to you. Replacement-key service, when available, is subject to product identification and ownership verification.
What information is needed for a fit check?
Provide the vehicle model, exact model year, country or original sales market, trim level and a clear photo of the gear selector and surrounding center-console controls.
